I searched and searched and finally came to this conclusion which worked as well. Unscrew the panel on the back of the laptop. The raised "tag" for it says m-pci. Unscrew the little screw holding the pcmi card in and then remove the pcmi card and reseat. Turn the laptop on an tada! A very good writeup. My dilemma is I have no c:\cabs\D20003-003-001 file so am unable to install media card reader driver(s). Do not know how to obtain c:\cabs\D20003-003-001 file, either. All my other drivers, though, are in place and working and the laptop seems to work fine.
